Miedzyzdroje is located on the Wolin Island in the Baltic Sea east coast. Picturesque and attractive location makes the town a popular tourist destination point offering all sea side SPA facilities that go along with it.
The biggest attraction in Miedzyzdroje is undoubtedly the beautiful, sandy beach considered by many to be the best beach of Baltic Sea. It is not wide, but the clean and fine sand as well as the view on Miedzyzdroje cliff hills and the pier are strong advantages of the place making it very attractive for visitors. During the summer there are plenty fun opportunities for children such as water slides, trampolines and amusement parks situated on the beach.
That time there are also beach ball competitions as well as beauty contests organized.
There are plenty places where you can rent sport and beach equipment such as bikes, surfing boards, quads, water scooters, chairs and beach screens. In the east end you will find boats that are being used even today for fishing (mainly cod, pike, perch, roach, herring, flounder). There is a chance to arrange a demonstration fishing experience boat on the open sea.
The beach is separated from the town with sand dunes.
Another considerable Miedzyzdroje advantage is the pier which is 395 meter long. Since March 2005 the pier has been open for the public and the admission is free of charge.
You can admire the beautiful view towards the sea and the surrounding area.
In front of the pier there is a shopping avenue, which holds number of cafés, pizza places and a very popular disco underneath.
In the end there is a marina for cruise ships where you can book a trip to Swinoujscie as well as German towns called Ahlbeck and Heringsdrof.
Wolinski National Park is undoubtedly one of the biggest tourist attractions on Wolin Island. Within its limits you can find artefacts of historical villages.
The Park has a really well developed tourist structures. There is the Education and Museum Centre located by the Park management offices in Miedzyzdroje, Bison Show Farm (1,5 km east of Miedzyzdroje), 4 observational spots, parking spaces and a network of walking tracks of a total length of 50 km.
Favourite tourist places are Turkusowe Lake (turquoise) with unique water colour, Bison Show Farm, observational spots called „Gosan” and „Kawcza Gora” where you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Swina River mouth and Szczecin Lagoon.
It is also worth mentioning that around the town you will find one of a few fully professional golf course with 27 holes.
As you can see Miedzyzdroje will provide a lot of attractions for everyone. After lazy relax and sun baths on the beach you have plenty opportunities for active and attractive leisure time.
